IMPORTANT UPDATES for 2013:
 
In 2013 USTA Eastern is:
·        Aligning their Suspension Point System with USTA National. Please use the new forms below.
·        Eliminating the 3 minute coaching rest period between the 2nd set and 3rd set tiebreak. We will only be using the 2 minute set break with NO coaching, where players remain on court.
·        Implementing the Lateness Rule and the Overrule Rule for all tournaments.

  • Players who participate in more than one age division are entitled to only 30 minutes.
  • The Section, Referee, or TD may authorize additional rest when any of them concludes that the length of the match, heat, humidity, or other conditions justify an extension. (Recovery Rule)
  • When more than one match format is played, the match format of the preceding match shall govern the minimum rest period.
  • Eastern tournament directors are recommended to abide by the 12 hour rule. (12 hour rest period is strongly recommended between completion of their last match of the day and the start of their first match on the following day.)

  • Player’s Friday matches may not be scheduled prior to 4 PM on a school day without advanced notification and prior approval from Section.
