USTA Eastern Jr. Team Tennis Championships 
Dates: June 16-17, 2012 (for winter season), August 18-19, 2012 (for summer season)         
Size: More than 300 children and parents per championship

USTA Jr. Team Tennis provides children, ages 6 – 18, the opportunity to play tennis with their friends and enjoy the camaraderie of being on a team. The section championships in June brings together the winning teams from across the Eastern section, all vying for a chance to compete in the National Championships. USTA Eastern also holds a summer JTT League, with the season culminating in Sectional Championships in August. 
 
USTA Eastern Adult League Section Championships            
Dates: June – October     
Size: More than 300 adult players per championship 
Locations: Schenectady, NY                                                                                            
USTA league tennis is the most successful adult recreation program in the country with over 700,000 participants each year. The teams are set up according to ability level using the USTA’s National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP). At the USTA Eastern championships, the best teams from across the section play for a chance to compete in the National Championships.
 
USTA Sanctioned Tournaments: Adult, Junior and QuickStart
Dates: Year-round
Size: Varies
Locations: Across New York, New Jersey and Greenwich, CT
For those who want to compete individually, outside of Leagues and Junior Team Tennis, USTA Eastern offers sanction tournaments all year long. Camp A.C.E.
Dates: July 22-27, 2012
Size: More than 80 teenage players
Location: Ramapo College of New Jersey, Mahwah, NJ
Camp A.C.E. (Achieving through Coaching and Education) provides players ages 14-17 a week of daily tennis instruction, college admissions counseling, and community activities, geared to helping students continue their success after graduation. Past summers, former professional tennis players Chanda Rubin and Rodney Harmon taught at the camp.
 
A.C.E. Project
Dates: September – June
Size: 53 students in 2009-10; 195 students in 2008-09
Location: New Jersey: Newark. New York: Albany, Hempstead, Mount Vernon, Spring Valley, Syracuse.
USTA Eastern’s A.C.E. Project provides tennis instruction and college preparatory skills to high school students. In 2009-2010, Eastern partnered with 8 high schools and worked with Reach for College!, a nonprofit organization that helps traditionally disadvantaged students attend college. As part of the program, students attend after-school classes and participated in at least four hours of tennis per week.
 
Competitive Tennis Center Events
Dates: Regional training:Monthly, from September to June; Annual Rally Day: Early May
Size: Regional: Varies; Annual Rally Day: About 140 players and parents.
Locations: Throughout New York and New Jersey
USTA Competitive Training Centers offer low cost, high level training to the best players in each region, ages 10-13. The players train at the centers once a month. In May, USTA Eastern section holds its annual CTC Rally Day at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The event brings together players from all the USTA Eastern CTCs for a fun day of competition.
 
 
College Showcase Day
Date: Early November
Size: More than 200 students and parents
Location: Saw Mille Club, White Plains, NY
The annual College Showcase Day More provides high school students a chance to show off their serves, network with coaches and explore the wide range of opportunities to play tennis in college and receive financial aid. Last year, the event attracted coaches from more than 45 colleges, from Division I, Division II and Division III as well as the NJCAA. Every college coach who signed up received a CD with profiles of each student at the showcase.
