For Tennis Parents

On-Court Training

The USTA wants to ensure that you receive the best possible on-court training available. With this in mind, the Recreational Coach Workshop (RCW) and the Recreational QuickStart Tennis Workshop (QST) prepare coaches, instructors and parents to give players an exceptional tennis experience and keep them coming back.

Join or Coach a Team

There are introductory tennis programs in communities throughout the country. Most take the form of beginning tennis lessons. While these are generally a good place to start, the ideal program will offer your child a place to progress and participate by offering opportunities to play. USTA Jr. Team Tennis is gaining in popularity because kids can learn in team practices and compete in team matches.

Competitive Junior Progression

For parents of junior tournament players, there are important rules and regulations; forms and schedules; and facts and resources that will make the USTA tournament process easier to follow. USTA Eastern has several levels of programming ranging from fun to recreational to competitive to high performance. Whatever level your child is at, USTA Eastern has a program for you.

10 and Under Tennis

It’s a whole new ballgame for kids tennis! With equipment and courts tailored to suit their needs and abilities, kids will feel confident as soon as they pick up a racquet. Using the QuickStart Tennis format allows kids to rally back and forth over the net right away and enjoy the game right from the start.
