USTA Serves

USTA Serves – Foundation for Academics. Character. Excellence. is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of life among our nation’s youth. USTA Serves mission is to support, monitor and promote programs that enhance the lives of underserved youth through the integration of tennis and education. A goal of USTA Serves is to encourage children to pursue their goals and highest dreams by succeeding in school and becoming responsible citizens. USTA Serves supports organizations that use tennis as a vehicle to help youngsters finish high school and qualify for college scholarships, targeting students from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

  • Avenue of Aces - The Avenue of Aces inaugurated in 2005, is located on the magnificent grounds of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center - home of the US Open. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping, it forms the pathway between the east gate entrance and the historic Arthur Ashe Stadium. Your personalized paver will link you to the US Open, the premier sports and entertainment spectacle.
  • College Scholarships Each year, USTA Serves awards scholarships to deserving youngsters who have participated in United States Tennis Association (USTA) and other organized youth tennis programs. Thirty-eight students throughout the Section have felt the positive impact of $187,000 in college scholarships.
  • Program Grants - USTA Serves awards grants to not-for-profit organizations that support efforts in tennis and education to help disadvantaged, at-risk youth and people with disabilities. Consideration is given to NJTL programs and those following the “Aces for Kids” model. Organizations throughout the Eastern Section have been the beneficiary of more than $820,000 in grants.
