Effective September 2009, the Charter and Bylaws Committee of USTA Eastern, Inc. recommended the enumerated stylistic changes to the following volunteer position titles for the purpose of clarity and consistency.
- The "regional vice presidents" will now be known as "regional presidents".
- The "management committee" will now be known as the "board of directors".
- The remaining board members (past presidents and certain standing committee chairs) will be known as the "executive board".
